Nokia N93 Review

Nokia N93

Starting with multimedia capabilities, the new Nokia N93 includes a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 3x optical zoom, a 2.4″ QVGA display, and full audio/video playback capabilities. The camera is worth noting, not only due to its still image capabilities, but also its ability to capture video in VGA resolution at 30fps – enough for a good experience while utilizing the built in TV-out functionality. As with the other two devices announced from Berlin today, the N93 supports direct uploading to the Flickr photo-sharing site from the handset’s Gallery and Camera applications. Storage-wise, the N93 includes 50MB of on board memory, and miniSD expansion.

    Review

The Nokia 6220 is a business class phone that also includes features like an integrated digital camera, video recorder and FM radio.A novel feature of the Nokia 6220 is the EDGE connectivity, which along with GPRS provides a very high-speed internet connection. In addition, the 6220's XHTML browser provides a rich full colour interface to the web.Nokia have resisted the temptation to make the appearance of the 6220 "cool" and have sensibly provided a conventionally-styled keypad, making the phone usable as well as smart.

    Review

The Nokia 5210 is designed to be hard wearing, even outdoors. The outdoor theme is enhanced by the inclusion of a built-in stopwatch and thermometer. Apart from these features, it's a good-looking all-round performer at a budget price. The infra-red modem enables the Nokia 5210 to easily interface with a laptop for example. The x-press on covers are designed to protect against bumps and scratches.

    Nokia 5140 Review

Nokia has been the only one to produce pseudoprotected phones for several years. These devices refer to so-called sport segment (Outdoor, Active are its other names). The Nokia 5140 is the latest in Nokia's 5xxx series of durable phones designed to be hard wearing for outdoor and sports activities. Nokia claim that the 5140 offers "Enhanced durability and resistance to the elements and usage in sports inspired lifestyle." It's debatable just how durable the phone is - soak it in water or drop it onto a hard surface and it's likely to break, just like any other mobile - but Nokia have certainly made an effort to protect the phone against minor bumps and splashes. The outer shell is tougher than most, and being changeable it can be replaced if it gets scratched or scuffed. The bottom flap helps to protect against water damage, and there is an inner module to provide additional protection against water damage.
